/what it is about

Hello, I am Peter Pichler
and I am a freelance illustrator,

communication designer, lecturer and co-founder of büro ident, a design studio in Cologne. My illustrations are style-defining for several publications in print and online. I studied communication design (for a very long time) at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal – even with a diploma. I was a lecturer for illustration at the Ecosign academy for sustainable design until 2020. And what time is left besides illustration, family, dog, holidays and making music, I spend in the illustrationfestival „ILLU“. As a member of the ILLU team, I organise and plan the biggest illustrationfestival in NRW that takes place every two years in Cologne. ILLU23 click!
